Every week, Tomorrowland and One World Radio select a new Tune of the Week. This week's track, guaranteed to keep you moving, is 'If It's Not Love' by Zerb and Rita Ora
Matheus Zerbini Massa known as Zerb, is a Brazilian DJ and record producer from São Paulo. He began playing instruments as a child and at 14 became interested in electronic music, inspired by artists like Skrillex and Deadmau5, releasing his early productions on YouTube and SoundCloud.
He gained attention in 2015, when his remixes, blending deep house and tropical house, attracted attention within the scene.
A collaboration with Vintage Culture on a remix of ZHU's "Faded" brought him wider recognition and led to his first management deal and performances across Brazil.
His international breakthrough came with "Mwaki," released on 10 November 2023 through independent label Th3rd Brain. It went viral on TikTok within weeks of release.
It reached number one on Spotify's Global Viral Chart, achieved platinum status in Italy, and was the second most Shazamed record in the world for several weeks, generating over 100,000 fan-made videos on social media. The track also received remixes from Major Lazer and Tiësto.
Following the success of "Mwaki," Zerb went on his first European tour, performing at Tomorrowland, Parookaville, and Ushuaïa Ibiza.
Zerb released "If It's Not Love," his first collaboration with British singer, songwriter Rita Ora. The track came about after Ora contacted him directly on social media, having come across his music while travelling in Italy. It was released through Th3rd Brain, the same independent label behind "Mwaki."
Rita Ora is a British singer and songwriter who's debut album entered the UK Album Chart in 2012 and produced two UK number-one singles. She holds the record for the most UK top-ten singles by a British female solo artist, with thirteen to her name, and has collaborated extensively with producers across the electronic and dance space.
