Tomorrowland’s Friendship Mix is taken care of by James Hype

Tune in for an exclusive one-hour mix on One World Radio.

Tune in to the exclusive Tomorrowland Friendship Mix with James Hype this Thursday at 21:00 CEST.

James Hype grew up in the Wirral, a peninsula just outside Liverpool in England. As a kid, he was obsessed with dance music and spent his teenage years hanging around record shops and sneaking into clubs to watch DJs perform.

He was knew from early on that this was what he wanted to do. He started playing small shows in clubs across the north of England, slowly building his name.

What set him apart was his technique. While most DJs work with two decks, James Hype became known for mixing on four, blending tracks in ways that felt more like live performance than a usual DJ set. That dedication to his craft, combined with a sharp instinct for what works on a dance floor, helped him stand out in a crowded scene.

His 2017 track "More Than Friends" with Kelli-Leigh went to Number 1 on the UK Dance Chart. Then in 2022, "Ferrari" with Miggy Dela Rosa became a genuine crossover hit, Number 1 in Belgium, the Netherlands and Italy, and over a billion streams worldwide.

He has collaborated with artists like Kim Petras, Craig David and Vintage Culture, and runs his own label, Stereohype, alongside a residency at Hï Ibiza.

He has been coming to Tomorrowland since 2022, returning every year and playing the Crystal Garden stage.

Tune in this Thursday for her Tomorrowland Friendship Mix.
