Tomorrowland is expanding its storytelling universe with the release of its first-ever comic book: The Odes of Orbyz. Following the success of the similarly titled fantasy novel, the comic adaptation of The Odes of Orbyz brings the origin story of the 2025 festival theme, ORBYZ, to life in a new visual format.
The comic features 60 richly illustrated pages by international comic artists, blending lush visuals with a compelling narrative.
Filled with recognizable elements and imagery from the 2025 MainStage, the comic presents a unique and unparalleled opportunity for a deeper connection with the 2025 festival theme.
Additionally, it allows fantasy fans around the world to delve into the storytelling world of Tomorrowland and explore the magical tale within the comic, regardless of their physical attendance at the festival.
“In the magnificent subterranean ice city of Nymbuz, a sequence of disappeared citizens has the community in a state of unease. For Tybla, a warrior turned Adept of the Order of the Mane, the disappearances hit close to home, as most of those missing are from her neighbourhood.
When a massive explosion in the mines sends shock waves through the very place she’s sworn to protect, Tybla is determined to investigate. Was it their ancient rivals, the surface-dwelling Fallarine, or something lurking in the Deep-Dark of their homeland?
Amidst the chaos, a chance encounter with a nomad from the Surface challenges everything she thinks she knows. But will that be enough to save their world…”
Initially written by Tomorrowland, The Odes of Orbyz is adapted into comic form by acclaimed writer Chris Roberson, brought to life visually by an international team of comic artists:
- Line art by Nick Brokenshire
- Coloring by Triona Farrell
- Lettering by Jodie Troutman
The Odes of Orbyz comic is presented in a softcover, designed by Tomorrowland’s in-house creative team. For more than a year the creative team worked with a lot of passion on the creation of the entire world of ORBYZ, which can be marvelled at, at the Main Stage and numerous other storytelling locations on this year’s festival grounds.
The Odes of Orbyz comic marks the beginning of Tomorrowland’s journey into the world of comics, an ambitious new direction with more projects on the horizon.
As an added bonus, readers who purchase the comic via the Tomorrowland webstore will also receive a digital edition, making it easier than ever to dive into the magical world of Orbyz, anytime and anywhere.
