What is Tomorrowland Winter?

Discover the beautiful mountains and village of Alpe d’Huez, where only the visitors of Tomorrowland Winter will have access to.

Choose between a 7 or 4 day experience. All packages include a Tomorrowland Winter ticket, lodging and a lift & ski pass. Only with lodging at Alpe d’Huez you may enter Tomorrowland Winter. Use your personal Tomorrowland Winter Festival Bracelet and a lift & ski pass to discover all stages and areas in the mountains and in the village.

Unite with 30,000 People of Tomorrow from all over the world on an altitude of more than 2000 meters, guided by the Tomorrowland magic.

Location

Alpe d’Huez is situated on a fully south-facing plateau in the French Alps.

With 300 days of sunshine a year, Alpe d'Huez Grand Domaine Ski is a paradise for skiers, for lovers of the great outdoors and fresh air, for adrenaline seekers and for those who simply like walking and taking in the scenery.
250km of ski slopes draw skiers from all around the world. The resort has something for skiers of all levels of ability: a beginners' area as well as legendary ski slopes like "Sarenne" (16km).
The resort is at an altitude of 1860m, with its highest point reaching up to 3330m. The view from the top of Pic Blanc offers breath-taking panoramas of the Alps.

Alpe d’Huez is located only 1 hour away from Grenoble, 2 hours from Lyon and less than 5 hours from Paris.

What is the minimum age to attend Tomorrowland Winter?

The minimum age limit to enter Tomorrowland Winter is 18 years. The visitor must be 18 years old before the beginning of the festival. This is a strict policy and no exceptions will be made, even if the minor is accompanied by an adult.

How do I get to Tomorrowland Winter?

Alpe d’Huez Grand Domaine Ski can be reached in a number of different ways. Please be aware there is not a lot of parking space available up the mountains; Tomorrowland advises you to book a flight or bus package, a shuttle or to share your ride.

Can I go to Tomorrowland Winter if I’m not a skier?

Yes, there will also be day activities for non-skiers. You can use your lift & ski pass to discover several stages in the mountains during the day.

Which travel documents do I need when traveling to France?

If you travel from a Schengen country to France, a valid identity card or passport is sufficient. If you travel from another European country or from a country outside the EU, check with the embassy of France in your country which travel documents and any visa you need.

Being in possession of the right travel documents is always your own responsibility. Tomorrowland Winter is not liable if you do not have the correct travel documents. 

What is a Tomorrowland Account?

By creating a Tomorrowland Account, you will be able to manage your Tomorrowland related activities. More information can be found here

Packages

When does ticket sale start?

  • 7-day packages go on sale on September 8th, 17h00 CET
  • 4-day packages go on sale on September 15th, 17h00 CET

At this moment you can already create your own Tomorrowland Winter Package with lodging and ticket in the Price simulator. Save your favourite packages to acces them easily during the ticket sale. You can also create youe package during the sale.
Extra services such as ski lessons, ski rental, transport to Alpe d’Huez, restaurant reservations,… can be booked additionally.

If you want to participate the Tomorrowland Winter sale, you are strongly advised to create a Tomorrowland Account 2 hours before the start of the sale. 

Where and why do I need to register?

In order to participate the Tomorrowland Winter Sales you must pre-register. 

  • If you already have an account, you can register by clicking Register for Tomorrowland Winter at the home page of your account.
  • If you don’t have a Tomorrowland Account, select ‘I want to register for Tomorrowland Winter’ at the personal details page during your registration at my.tomorrowland.com

Important: Registration does not guarantee you a ticket.

If you want to participate the Tomorrowland Winter sale, you are strongly advised to create a Tomorrowland Account 2 hours before the start of the sale. 

Can I change the lodging, ticket type or room type in my booking ?

It is not possible to modify your reservation. Changes of room type, lodging or ticket type are not possible.

When and where can I book extras such as restaurants, ski material etc ?

Restaurants, lockers, shuttles from/to the airport and train stations and other facilities will all be available during the Tomorrowland Winter Voucher Sale. More information will be available on the website later this year.

Can I change personal info in my booking?

Name changes

Be careful when finalizing your booking. 
Name changes are not possible after personalization. Only in case of urgent matter, Tomorrowland Winter will accept name changes until 30/11/2018 implying a fee of €350-, per name change. After this date no name change will be accepted.

Attention! If you have a cancellation insurance, the attached names cannot be changed. 
 

Address changes 

In order to ship all Bracelets in time, it is not possible to change the shipping address after you have bought tickets. 

In case you have moved, you can contact us before November 30th 2018. 
Important ! Email the legal attest of change of residence, order number, old address and your new address. 
After November 30th 2018. it is not possible to change addresses.

What is the difference between a 7 and a 4-day package?

 7-day Package

  • Arrival on March 9 and departure on March 16.
  • Access to the Tomorrowland festival areas in the mountain and the village from March 13 to March 15.
  • Access to The Gathering - the Official Tomorrowland warming-up on Tuesday March 12.
  • Access to all ski slopes and lifts from March 9 to March 16.
  •  On March 9, 10 and 11 extra activities will take place to welcome you to Alpe d’Huez and to make your stay as magical as possible.

 4-day Package

  • Arrival on March 12 and departure on March 16.
  • Access to the Tomorrowland festival areas in the mountain and the village from March 13 to March 15.
  • Access to The Gathering - the Official Tomorrowland warming-up on Tuesday March 12. 
  • Access to all ski slopes and lifts from March 12 to March 16.

Can I buy a day pass for Tomorrowland Winter?

No, day passes will not be available. You can only choose between a 7 or 4-day package.

Can I change the time schedule for my Flight or Bus?

You cannot change your time schedule after purchasing, so make sure you check the timings when you buy your package. If the departure time of your flight or bus changes, you will receive an update by email.

What is the difference between Full Madness Pass and Full Madness Comfort Pass?

FULL MADNESS PASS

  • General Access to Tomorrowland Winter on 13, 14 and 15 March 2019 (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday).
  • Access to The Gathering, the official warming up party of Tomorrowland Winter (March 12)
  • This ticket is included in every package

 

FULL MADNESS COMFORT PASS

  • General Access to Tomorrowland Winter on 13, 14 and 15 March 2019 (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday).
  • Access to The Gathering, the official warming up party of Tomorrowland Winter (March 12)
  • Access to Comfort Main Stage with Main Stage View
  • Covered & Heated Area
  • Delicious Fingerfood
  • Access to Comfort of Garden of Madness Stage
  • Unlimited Access to the community pool (outdoor and indoor)

You can choose your ticket type in "Step 3: Options" during the ticket sale. 

What are the different types of lodging?

For your lodging you can choose between 4 categories:

  • Hotels, Chalets and apartments : category "Wooden" 
  • Hotels, Chalets and apartments : category "Bronze" 
  • Hotels, Chalets and apartments : category "Silver" 
  • Hotels, Chalets and apartments : category "Gold" 

Chalets, apartments and hotel rooms can only be booked to maximum capacity. For example: a chalet for 8 persons can only be booked for 8 persons with 8 Tomorrowland Winter Passes

What is a lift & ski pass?

Your Tomorrowland Winter Package will also include your lift & ski pass. You will have access to all lifts on the mountain. During your stay, you can use these lifts to discover the mountain experiences of Tomorrowland Winter (by foot) or to go skiing on one of the many ski slopes (250km).

Your lift & ski pass is valid on the day of arrival until the day before departure. Example; If you book a 7-day package your lift & ski pass is valid from Saturday March 9th until Friday March 15th. 

I have booked lodging myself and want tickets to the festival.

All Tomorrowland Winter packages include a Tomorrowland ticket, a lift & ski pass and lodging.

In very exceptional cases, it is possible you have booked your lodging in a different way than a Tomorrowland Winter Package. You can now submit a request to buy Tomorrowland Winter tickets.

Are shuttles available?

  • Shuttles from the different airports (Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble) and train stations (Lyon and Grenoble) can be booked during the voucher sale. More information about timings and prices will be available later. 
  • If you are staying in one of the surrounding villages of Alpe d’Huez, free shuttles will run after the lifts are closed. These shuttles will only be available during the festival days. All information about timings will be communicated later. During the day, Alpe d’Huez and other villages can be reached by the (ski)lifts, also by pedestrians. 
  • If you have booked a bus or flight package; all shuttles from your destination to your lodging and back are included.

I am staying in of the surrounding villages of Alpe d’huez, how can I get to the festival and back?

If you are staying in one of the surrounding villages of Alpe d’Huez, free shuttles will run after the lifts are closed. These shuttles will only be available during the festival days. All information about timings will be communicated later. During the day, Alpe d’Huez and other villages can be reached by the (ski)lifts, also by pedestrians. 

Booking process

I did not receive my booking confirmation yet

After your payment is accepted, a confirmation of your order will appear on your screen.

It can take up to 5 hours after booking, before you receive your booking confirmation via email with the details of your order. 

How can I buy a package?

What is personalization?

Before entering the festival site, the identity of each visitor will be verified. You need to personalize all your tickets between October 1st and October 15th. Each single ticket needs to be addressed to each individual visitor.

Attention! If you have a cancellation insurance, the attached names cannot be changed. 

Where can I see if my payment has been received?

After you have booked your package, you will receive your invoice by email within 14 days. In this email you will find your prepayment and the remaining balance of your package. Once you have paid the remaining balance, you will receive a payment confirmation.

How much luggage can I take with me?

Flight

  • 1 suitcase or travel bag of normal size (max. 80 x 70 x 30 cm and max. 20 kg)
  • 1 piece of hand luggage of normal size 10 - 12 kg. The hand luggage rules differ per airline
  • Winter sports equipment (see below)

Bus

  • 1 suitcase or travel bag of normal size (max. 80 x 70 x 30 cm and max. 20 kg)
  • 1 piece of hand luggage (normal size, 2 kg)
  • Winter sports equipment (see below) 

Winter sports equipment

  • 1 pair of skis (with sticks) or one snowboard *
  • 1 pair of ski or snowboard boots

* With a snowboard, it is mandatory to remove the bindings from the board. Only 1 snowboard is allowed in a snowboard cover (so no other luggage, such as snowboard shoes, clothing, etc. to be inside in the same cover).

Can I check-in online for my flight and pre-book seats?

Online check-in is possible as from 24 hours in advance (except for airline Vueling) Unfortunately it is not possible to pre-book seats. 

When do I receive my travel documents and tickets?

You will receive your travel documents at least 1 week before departure by mail. 
Your Tomorrowland Bracelet will be send to you by post a few weeks before Tomorrowland Winter. 

How and when do I have to complete my payment?

  • At the moment of your purchase 
    You have to make a prepayment of at least 50% up to a maximum of € 2500 with a debit or credit card (VISA & Mastercard). Bank transfer is not possible.
  • Within 10 working days after purchase 
    The remaining balance of your package needs to be paid within 10 working days after purchase via debit or credit card (VISA & Mastercard).

CANCELLATION CONDITIONS

In the case of non-payment of the remaining amount, prepayment will not be refunded.

  • 75% cancellation fee until 30 November 2018.
  • 100% cancellation fee as from 1 December 2018.

Can I cancel my Tomorrowland Winter Package?

It is not possible to cancel 1 or more persons in 1 order. You can only cancel a complete order.
Please note, a cancellation is never free of charge:

  • In case of non-payment of the remaining balance, your prepayment will not be refunded.
  • In  case of cancellation after you have paid your package, following conditions are applied: 
    • 75% cancellation fee until 30 November 2018.
    • 100% cancellation fee from 1 December 2018.

Can I book a cancellation insurance?

The cancelation insurance needs to be added to your Winter Package during booking and is valid per order. More information can be found here

When do I receive my invoice?

After you have booked your package, you will receive your invoice by email within 14 days.

Can I book a Travel Insurance?

More information about the travel insurance will be available soon. 

Lodging

Do I have to pay a deposit for the lodging I have booked?

The deposit varies per lodging. It is possible a deposit is required.
More information about the settlement and the process of deposits will follow at the latest 4 weeks before arrival.

Can I book lodging myself without passing by the Tomorrowland Official Ticket Sale?

No, the Tomorrowland Winter Official Ticket Sale is the only way to buy a package to access the ski resort and the Tomorrowland Winter festival area. All Tomorrowland Winter packages will include lodging, lift & ski pass and ticket to the festival area. Only visitors with a Tomorrowland Winter Ticket and lodging will have access to Alpe d’Huez.

Check-in and check-out time of my lodging

All check-in and check-out times are different per lodging. All timings will be communicated later. 

What kind of board basis is included?

The type of board basis is mentioned per lodging in the simulator or shop. There is only one board basis available per lodging. It is not possible to up - or downgrade the board basis.

You can enter the festival until 23h30. It is not possible to enter the festival grounds after 23h30.

Check-in hours lodging
Check-in and check-out of your lodging will be mentioned on your booking confirmation.

Are lockers available?

There will be lockers available close to the festival site. You can store your personal items, clothing and ski/snowboard without having to worry about loss or theft. Lockers must be hired for the whole festival period. You can buy your locker voucher online in advance. Dates and prices will be available soon.

What can I eat and drink at Tomorrowland Winter?

You can discover one of the official Tastes of the World food & drinks stands or restaurants at the festival, in the mountains or in the village. Also make sure to explore the village of Alpe d’Huez and get to know the local flavors and specialties.

Can I take ski lessons?

Extra services such as ski lessons can be booked additionally later.

Can I rent ski or snowboard equipment?

Extra services such as ski rental can be booked additionally later.
