This Thursday at 21:00 CEST, John Newman takes over the Tomorrowland Friendship Mix on One World Radio.

Tune in at 21:00 CEST for an exclusive one-hour mix.

Relive the Tomorrowland Friendship Mix with Kölsch on One World Radio.

Newman is English, from a small town in North Yorkshire. He grew up on a council estate, started DJing on borrowed gear and went on to build one of the better stories in British music.

Most people will know him first as a vocalist. "Feel the Love" with Rudimental went to number one in the UK in 2012. "Love Me Again" followed the next year and hit the top again, eventually reaching 1.6 billion streams. "Blame" with Calvin Harris in 2014 broke records as the most-streamed song in a single day on Spotify at the time.

After years of success, he stepped back and came out the other side as a DJ and producer, bringing his vocals into a live format and playing his own tracks alongside the dance music he has always loved. It is a different chapter from what most people expected, and it works.

His connection with Tomorrowland has grown from there. He has played the mainstage in Boom, performed at Tomorrowland Brasil and released on Tomorrowland Music. He is back in Belgium again this summer.

But first, this Thursday he has got an hour on One World Radio.
