Tomorrowland and Amazon Music present an intimate new documentary featuring Miss Monique and three extraordinary People of Tomorrow.
Music can connect people across countries, cultures and completely different walks of life. In the newest chapter of ‘We Are Tomorrow’, discover four personal stories that show what music can mean when it matters most.
The documentary follows Ukrainian DJ and producer Miss Monique as she takes the Tomorrowland stage while navigating the realities of war and displacement.
After building her career in Kyiv and breaking through internationally with her MiMo Weekly mix series, she was forced to leave Ukraine following the outbreak of war.
She continued creating and touring across Europe and today performs at some of the world’s biggest festivals, including Tomorrowland.
Alongside Miss Monique, ‘We Are Tomorrow’ travels across continents to tell the stories of three People of Tomorrow: Olav, Fahbeer and Luca.
Finding the way back through photography
Norwegian photographer Olav Stubberud started taking pictures at the age of 13 and went on to tour the world with artists including Swedish House Mafia, The Chainsmokers and Martin Garrix.
When touring stopped during the COVID pandemic, Olav lost his connection with photography. Returning to analog photography helped him rediscover his craft and find a slower, more intentional approach. ‘We Are Tomorrow’ meets him at a new crossroads, with his past mastered and his future wide open.
Bringing Bangkok flavours to Tomorrowland Thailand
In Bangkok, Fahbeer turned her passion for food and flavour into her own cocktail bar, ‘Lost in Thaislation’. Inspired by Thai street food culture and local restaurants in Thonglor, the bar transforms familiar dishes and flavours into cocktails.
Later this year, Fahbeer will bring her world to Tomorrowland Thailand, running her own cocktail bar at the festival.
Finding a family at Tomorrowland
For Luca, Tomorrowland became a life-changing experience.
Born in Romania and raised in orphanages before facing rejection and abuse after returning to his family, Luca left home at 18 and spent years surviving on the streets. In 2017, he won tickets to Tomorrowland through a radio contest.
The people he met there gradually became the family and community he had never had. Today, Luca has built a stable life in Cologne, Germany, where he works as a flower delivery driver. For him, Tomorrowland is proof that a single opportunity can open the door to something bigger.
An exclusive soundtrack
The documentary also features the Amazon Music Original ‘Million Miles Away (VIP Remix)’ by Miss Monique, P.O.U. and Susie Ledge, created exclusively for this edition of ‘We Are Tomorrow’.
Since 2022, the documentary series has explored the lives of artists including Topic, Vintage Culture, Alok and John Summit, alongside personal stories from the People of Tomorrow. The 2023 edition featuring Alok went on to win a Webby Award for Video Events & Livestreams (Branded) in 2024.
