Following a vibrant edition in Medellín and a memorable winter stop in the snow-covered mountains of Alpe d'Huez, CORE landed in the United States for the very first time on May 2nd and 3rd, teaming up once again with Insomniac to bring one of its most immersive stage experiences across the Atlantic.
Built on a foundation of stunning visuals, carefully chosen underground music, and an atmosphere unlike any other, CORE has grown into a truly global concept, with editions in Belgium, France, Mexico, Brazil, and Colombia. And with Melbourne, Australia coming this November and Tomorrowland Thailand on the horizon, its story is only getting bigger.
Set against the unique backdrop of Downtown Los Angeles, the festival brought its signature blend of alternative house and techno to an iconic park in the heart of the city, and 30,000 fans showed up to be part of it.
For the first time ever, American audiences got to experience something that had, until now, only existed within the Tomorrowland world.
Spread across three stages, the debut LA edition brought together an incredible lineup. Four Tet headlined Saturday, with Eric Prydz closing out Sunday, while Mall Grab, who is riding high right now with "Just The Way You Are", Hannah Laing and Mija all made their CORE debut.
Malugi's feel-good house sets kept the energy high throughout, and LA's own Masha Mar, a beloved figure in the city's underground scene, brought her open and community-driven approach to the CORE crowd. Honey Dijon, one of house music's biggest names, returned to the stage alongside Benwal, hot off a memorable set at CORE Medellín.
Belgian artists Oscar and the Wolf, Samm, Capoon, Emilija, and Kneiz rounded things out, bringing a piece of home to LA and staying true to the international spirit that defines CORE.
