I'm 'avoiding' buying anything that isn't BD. I'm trying to hold out until BSG goes Blu.. but might give in and buy the next season on DVD. As for the price of titles.. I think it will slowly happen over the course of this year. But might be well into 2010 before prices are about same as DVD. DVD's will probably be around for 5 more years, unfortunately. Why? Because the average guy in middle america won't buy blu yet and doesn't have an HD TV yet either. I think that's changing some and this year's "official transition to digital tv" will probably help push people to buy new tvs. But great grandma's not going tv shopping any time soon. As for the price of bluray players.. next christmas it will definitely be in the range. You can get them now for $200. Maybe another year after that before walmart sells one for $35.
